Nike Downshifter review
Nike Downshifter
A sensible Nike you can actually afford to replace.
8/104.5 / 5
The Nike Downshifter is the beginner shoe in a lot of Amazon baskets. Reviews say it is fine, light, and not the Pegasus. That last part matters. I ran in them. They did the job for short efforts and they cost less than a night out.Comfort is the compliment. Durability is the complaint, along with a cushion that feels thin once you pass a few miles. A few reviews mention the tongue sliding. Mine stayed put with a normal lace. Buy them to start. Do not buy them because the name says Nike and you have a half marathon in six weeks.
