Cowboy Carter review
Cowboy Carter
A full evening. Don't shuffle it.
8/104.7 / 5
Cowboy Carter is a full evening, and the reviews that tell you not to shuffle it are correct. I sat with it. It is long, it changes its mind about what it is, and the stretches that work are worth the stretches that are showing off.Listeners split on the length. The ones who love it say the range is the point. The ones who don't say it should have been a tighter record. I am with the first group, just. Play it in order once before you decide. The singles are not the album.

For
- Worth hearing in order.
- The best stretches justify the length.
- It is an album, not a playlist.
Against
- Long.
- A few stretches show off.
- The singles undersell it, and also oversell it.
